Below, you can find some information about the young Conductors, their experiences and their artistic commitements in the world of classical music, after being selected by Riccardo Muti and having the opportunity to access the Riccardo Muti Italian Opera Academy High Training Course, during the first eight years in Italy (from 2015 to 2022) and in Tokyo (2019, 2021 and 2023).
JULY 2020: she is selected by Riccardo Muti for participating in the Riccardo Muti Italian Opera Academy in Ravenna, on “Cavalleria rusticana/Pagliacci”.
AUGUST 2021: she gets "Constant Lambert Fellowship" at the Royal Opera House in London becoming Assistant of the Royal Ballet and the Birmingham Royal Ballet, that she frequently conducts.
MARCH 2022: she becomes Assistant of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, till the end of 2022/2023 season.
MARCH 2023: she is selected as semi-finalist for "Siemens-Hallé" International Conductors competition, in Manchester.
SEPTEMBER 2023: she is Assistant of the London Philarmonic Orchestra for 2023/2024 season.
DECEMBER 2023: she makes her debut at the Royal Opera House in London, where se will conduct twelve replica of The Nutcracker on the podium of the Royal Opera House Orchestra, at Covent Garden.
JULY 2020: he is selected by Riccardo Muti for participating in the Riccardo Muti Italian Opera Academy in Ravenna, on “Cavalleria rusticana/Pagliacci”.
NOVEMBER 2021: he wins “Premio Angelo Mariani for Conductors Year 2021 Bicentenary of the Birth”, dedicated to the illustrios Maestro from Ravenna, student of then Accademia Filarmonica.
FEBRUARY 2022: in Colonia he is awarded first Prize of “Campus Dirigieren”, for the best Conducting students from German conservatories.
MARCH 2022: he gets the role of Kapellmeister al Theatre Krefeld – Monchengladbach, for 2022/2023 season.
NOVEMBER 2022: during the “Autumn Trilogy” at Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna, he will conduct Le Nozze di Figaro on the podium of Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini.
JULY 2018: he is selected by Riccardo Muti for participating in the Riccardo Muti Italian Opera Academy in Ravenna, on “Macbeth” .
AUGUST 2019: he is first selected as “Karajan Conducting Fellowship” for Salzburg Festival by Wiener Philharmoniker Orchestra and American Austrian Foundation.
SEPTEMBER 2020: thanks to “Leverhulme Conducting Fellowship” of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, he becomes Assistant Conductor to Thomas Dausgaard – Music Director of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra – and he works closely to other principal Scottish performing arts organisations such as the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Scottish Opera, Scottish Ballet and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.
AUGUST 2022: he is named as first-price winner by “Princess Astrid International Music Competition 2022” – 22nd edition – for Conductor under 35, with the opportunity to collaborate with the Norwegian Orchestra Trondheim Symfoniorkester & Opera.
MARCH 2019: she is selected by Riccardo Muti for participating in the Riccardo Muti Italian Opera Academy in Tokyo (in collaboration with the Spring Festival in Tokyo), on “Rigoletto” .
SEPTEMBER 2019: she wins the Grand Prix at the “Besancon International Competition for Young Conductors”.
The young musician is also awarded with the prizes for “Coup de cœur de l’orchestre” (Orchestra’s favorite) and “Coup de cœur du public” (public’s favorite) .
SEPTEMBER 2020: she grants two year scholarship at the Karajan Academy of the Berliner Philharmoniker.
2020/2021 SEASON: she is Assistant to Kirill Petrenko, the Conductor of the Berliner Philharmoniker.
Now Assistant for Yannick Nézet-Séguindel, Music Director of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
JULY 2015: she is selected by Riccardo Muti for participating in the Riccardo Muti Italian Opera Academy on “Falstaff” (Ravenna).
FEBRUARY 2016: as Winner of the Georg Solti contest, she becomes Assistant of Riccardo Muti – Music Director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra – for two years (seasons 2016/2017 and 2017/2018).
JULY 2017: Erina Yashima debuts in Salzburg. She is on the podium for a new production of the prestigious Salzburg Festival. From July, 28th 2017 the children’s german opera Der Schauspieldirektor will be performed featuring music by Wolfgang A. Mozart and Antonio Salieri.
2017/2018 SEASON: she is selected to conduct La cenerentola by Gioachino Rossini – with Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cheubini – co-procucted by Teatro del Giglio in Lucca, Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna and Teatro Municipale in Piacenza for the Opera season.
APRIL 2018: Riccardo Muti, Music Director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, announces the extension for Erina Yashima as the Sir Georg Solti Conducting Apprentice through the 2018/19 season.
Yashima was appointed to the position in February 2016 for a two-year term covering the 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons. In recognition of her accomplishments over the past two seasons, Muti and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association make the decision to extend Yashima’s term in the role.
FEBRUARY 2019: she conducts Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini in Le nozze di Figaro, the first Opera of the trilogy by the composer W.A. Mozart and libretto by Lorenzo da Ponte, on stage at Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna (Italy).
SEPTEMBER 2019: she becomes Assistant for Yannick Nézet-Séguindel, Music Director of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Moreover she conducts the Philadelphia Orchestra, in special concerts occasion.
NOVEMBER 2022: during the “Autumn Trilogy” at Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna, she will conduct Don Giovanni on the podium of Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini.
SEPTEMBER 2017: he is selected by Riccardo Muti for participating in the Riccardo Muti Italian Opera Academy, on “Aida” (Ravenna).
OCTOBER 2, 2017: right after participating in the Riccardo Muti Italian Opera Academy, he wins the International Deutscher Dirigentenpreis. The Price, debuting in Colonia (Germany) from 22 to 29 September 2017 is an international competition for young conductors jointly organised in a partnership by the German Music Council (Deutscher Musikrat), the orchestras of Kölner Philharmonie, Oper Köln, Gürzenich-Orchester Köln and the WDR Sinfonieorchester.
OCTOBER 13, 2018: he is selected to conduct “Rigoletto” by Giuseppe Verdi, during the “Autumn Trilogy”, the Ravenna Festival’s lyric marathon that will alternate three titles – Nabucco, Rigoletto, Otello – on the stage of Teatro Alighieri, from Novembre, 23 to December, 2. With Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini.
JULY 2015: he is selected by Riccardo Muti for participating in the Riccardo Muti Italian Opera Academy, on “Falstaff” (Ravenna).
NOVEMBER 2017: he wins the 10 th Grzegorz Fitelberg International Competition for Conductors, in Katowice (Polonia), from 17 to 26 Novembre 2017. On 24 November, the Jury decides to award this distinction – founded by the Minister of Culture and National Poland Heritage – to the young Taiwanese Conductor.
JULY 2015: he is selected by Riccardo Muti for participating in the Riccardo Muti Italian Opera Academy, on “Falstaff” (Ravenna).
NOVEMBER 2015: he conducts Cavalleria rusticana by Pietro Mascagni, Pagliacci by Ruggero Leoncavallo and Tosca by Giacomo Puccini at Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna for Ravenna Festival’s “Autumn Trilogy” in November 2017, 17th to 26 th. With Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini.
NOVEMBER 2019: he conducts Carmen by Bizet during the “Autumn Trilogy” at Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna. With Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini.
